Success Is Scheduled

One of the most important things you will want to do when launching your business is to SCHEDULE your success. Every hour of your day will be spent somehow, so why not make sure that you create an environment for success by prioritizing your doTERRA success habits in your calendar.

Action #1 Review page 6 & complete the steps at the bottom. Schedule your events for next month, set aside some times available for appointments, & for contacting people to invite them to learn about doTERRA. “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” -Benjamin Franklin

Connect, Share, Invite

After you have prioritized your name list and scheduled your success events and activities, it’s important to make sure you connect to anyone you are wanting to invite to a class or a one-on-one. This does not mean that you necessarily invite them the first time you connect. If you have been in regular contact with this person, that may be appropriate. However, you may need to connect with them & what’s going on in their life before you start sharing what’s going on in yours, so that when you do share & invite, you know how to explain the benefits of doTERRA for them. Remember that it’s important to serve people according to their NEEDS instead of your NEEDINESS. Action #2 Review Pages 8 -9 and listen to the Sharing Naturally video in the next step to support you in sharing naturally.

Sharing With The Right Mindset

2 minute Video
3 minute Video

As we set out on an incredible month of new connections and people’s lives that you will change. We want you to remember the source from which you will take action. Remember that it is not about YOU! It’s about serving others, it’s about finding out what needs they have and it’s about serving not selling. It’s about caring and connecting.

Sharing Skill #1 Build Relationships

The biggest mistake we make as wellness advocates is to forget the importance of building relationships. One our favorite acroynms when building relationships is F.O.R.D. (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Dreams) Lets say you reconnect with a friend through facebook and you guys start talking. Are you going to tell them about doTERRA first thing? NO. you are going to show interest in them (Family, Occupation, Relationships, Dreams). Connecting is about the most imporatnt part of your business and a habit that you should never stop doing.

Action #3 Start connecting with 2 new people each day from your Facebook friends list or Instagram followers (or if you are not on social media people, contact on your phone or locally). Just see how they have been, what they have been up to, how their families are, their work.. etc. Look out for birthdays, births, celebrations or ways that you can make them feel special. 2 new connections a day for the next 30 days!! A sure way to really connect with someone is to use their name and pay them a compliment

Sharing Skill #2: Transitioning The Conversation

So you have connected with someone new, you have built a relationship and you want to transition to a sample or class. See page 3 of the share guide for more examples

Here are a few transition phrases and examples below

  • 1. Would it be okay if…..
  • 2. I’m just curious, are you open to trying _______?
  • 3. Hey I just noticed that you (have been battling the flu, just had a baby, have been working out a lot)
  • Example #1 If you already know their need ie. a new baby, injury, emotional. You can be more straightforward and just say, ” Hey I saw you were experiencing X, I know that can be really difficult. We have found a lot of amazing solutions using essential oils and not had to deal with the side effects. I wondered if I could send you a gift package of essential oils that I know has really helped other friends. Would it be okay if I did that for you?

Example #2 My family and I have really tried to make a big shift towards natural things: medicine, cleaning supplies etc to really help us be more healthy. Would you be open to trying a couple of our favorite ways to (whatever you think their need might be)? Is there an area in particular that you want to try something or improve on?

Optional Transition To Wellness Consult Typically what I do is schedule a 15-20 call so we can reconnect and talk about a few of your health goals, areas you want to focus on and I can explain a few popular products we love. There isn’t any obligation to buy anything, but of course, if you find a solution you want to try, I can show you the cheapest way to try it. Would it be okay if we schedule a quick catch up call?

Sharing Skill #3 What Do You Do For Work?

One of the best ways to start conversations is asking people “What do you do for work?” Inevitably they will ask you, “What do you do for work?” This can be a great opportunity to use one of the following responses below. Listen to the training audios for an indepth understanding of one of our favorite skills.

    Tracking New Connections

As you begin your sharing snowball you are going to need to keep track of all of the new people you have sampled to. One easy way to do this is with “FACEBOOK friend lists”. You will see on the image on the left where you can find FB Friends Lists Feature. Create a new list, name it and add only the people you are connecting with, when they enoll you can move them to an enrollment list. You can also use the Connections tracker attached which helps you stay organized with Google Docs Open The Connection Tracker Google Doc by clicking the button below and under VIEW click “make a copy”

    Week 2 Success Check In

Daily Habits: How are you doing with the daily habits from the welcome page? How many samples have you shared? How many new connections have you made? Do you have a couple classes scheduled for the future? Are you taking 15 min per day to read the Slight Edge or another book? Are you taking 15 min to learn about oils? Whether your answer is a YES or NO, continue forward improving each day.

Weekly Goal: How did you do with action items 1-4? Take the time to complete them so that you are setting a good foundation for the rest of the month.
