As we set out on an incredible month of new connections, we want you to remember the source from which you will take action. Remember that it is not about YOU! It’s about serving others, it’s about finding out what needs they have and it’s about serving not selling. It’s about caring and connecting.
The biggest mistake we make as wellness advocates is to forget the importance of building relationships. One our favorite acroynms when building relationships is F.O.R.D. (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Dreams) Lets say you reconnect with a friend through facebook and you guys start talking. Are you going to tell them about doTERRA first thing? NO. you are going to show interest in them (Family, Occupation, Relationships, Dreams). Connecting is about the most imporatnt part of your business and a habit that you should never stop doing. |
Action #1 Start connecting with 2 new people each day from your Facebook friends list or Instagram followers (or if you are not on social media people, contact on your phone or locally). Just see how they have been, what they have been up to, how their families are, their work.. etc. Look out for birthdays, births, celebrations or ways that you can make them feel special. 2 new connections a day for the next 30 days!! A sure way to really connect with someone is to use their name and pay them a compliment

So you have connected with someone new, you have built a relationship and you want to transition to a sample or class. See page 3 of the share guide for more examples
Here are a few transition phrases and examples below |
Example #1 If you already know their need ie. a new baby, injury, emotional. You can be more straightforward and just say, ” Hey I saw you were experiencing X, I know that can be really difficult. We have found a lot of amazing solutions using essential oils and not had to deal with the side effects. I wondered if I could send you a gift package of essential oils that I know has really helped other friends. Would it be okay if I did that for you? (See Share 1.2 for what’s in a gift package and sampling)
Example #2 My family and I have really tried to make a big shift towards natural things: medicine, cleaning supplies etc to really help us be more healthy. Would you be open to trying a couple of our favorite ways to (whatever you think their need might be)? Is there an area in particular that you want to try something or improve on?
Optional Transition To Wellness Consult Typically what I do is schedule a 15-20 call so we can reconnect and talk about a few of your health goals, areas you want to focus on and I can explain a few popular products we love. There isn’t any obligation to buy anything, but of course, if you find a solution you want to try, I can show you the cheapest way to try it. Would it be okay if we schedule a quick catch up call?
